Onega Ltd provides individual hosting solutions to its core client
base and standardised services to other companies and organisations
that don't utilise Onega's main IT services. Onega doesn't operate
like the major ISP's. Onega's intention isn't to compete in an ever-increasing
cost and service-cutting sector. Its focus is to offer a personalised
service where quality and individualism are valued core components.
Using Onega ISP services, in conjunction with its core support services
eliminates the time and expense of liaising with other ISPs, which
can be time consuming, spent chasing and checking that they have
actually done what was requested.
Upon purchase of a web hosting solution with Onega, you will be
provided with the agreed amount of initial instruction time along
with all your passwords etc. A minimum of an hour is usually allocated
for this purpose. The time can be increased if needed, but an agreement
would need to be reached during the pre-setup consultation. All
other requests, helpdesk support and services beyond the initial
good faith setup agreement will be viewed as chargeable support.
If the fee is waived on one occasion it doesn't mean that the same
principle will apply to all future occasions, so please do check
with support staff before requesting assistance.
We are not going to charge you for or discourage you from asking
questions about whether you think there is a problem with our servers,
in fact we would encourage you to do so as you would be assisting
us highlight any potential problems. However, the standard hosting
agreement doesn't cover anything out of our control like problems
with your connection to the internet or configuring your mail client
to download your emails, as these are IT support related tasks and
come under separate agreements within our core services, which we
can offer to you if you feel you need assistance.
The same principles apply to giving assistance to your web site
developer. If you decide not to use the Onega web site developer,
we will work on the premise that the developer has all the necessary
skills or support in place to upload a web site etc., and that our
only responsibility is to supply the necessary access details, passwords,
and make them aware of the environment, information sheets on this
are available below. If they don't have these skills, or need assistance
in problem-solving then we can provide fee paying assistance on
request.
